This mod includes:
Spoiler:
- Allows changing of related buildings construction eras.
- All gardens now have adjustable beauty and reduced pollution.
- The Construction/Teamster Office now has upgrades (more workers / better job quality).
- The LightHouse now has new upgrades (similar to SeaRage).
- The DryDock now has new upgrades (similar to BiggerBoats).
- The CustomsOffice now has new upgrades (similar to BiggerBoats).
- All Churches/Cathedrals/Clinics/Hospitals now have additional upgrades (more visitors).
- All police stations have an increased crime fighting upgrade.
- All Banks/Office Buildings/Newspaper/TV Stations have additional upgrades.
- All Entertainment Buildings now have additional upgrades. These vary from quality upgrades, to bigger capacity, to unlocking new tourist classes, and more.
- All Grocery/Super markets now have additional upgrades (more clients).
- Also includes a calculation fix for the Kalypso in-game upgrade (see below).
- All residential buildings now have additional upgrades (Capacity / Quality).
- Included are upgrades for my Marble Mansion mod and PizzaVideos555 More Housing! mod.
- Linked COUNTRYHOUSE and HOUSE capacity upgrades (can be turned off in config).
- Linked TENEMENT, APARTMENT and MODERNAPARTMENT capacity upgrades (can be turned off in config).
- Military buildings have new upgrades (tank speed / job quality).
- Military buildings now provide basic food and health happiness.
- allows for the Setting of MINE/OIL/FISH deposit sizes.
- Mines now have new upgrades (resource / effectiveness / more).
- Logging camps ability to change Regrow era.
- Logging camps can now reduce pollution.
- Fishing wharfs ability to change Regrow era & drift netting depletion.
- Waste Treatment plants now have additional upgrades.
- All plantations/hydroponics/ranches/factory farms now have additional upgrades (reduced Workforce).

    • You should start a new game after installing this mod for it to take effect.
    • If you change the settings (see below code) you will have to create a new building for the new settings to take effect.
    • This mod has its own configuration file Tropico 5\Mods\Configs\zPapi_Upgrades_Config.lua due to the number of variables that now exist.
    • Contains a variable "Budget_Increase_Multiplier" to change game difficulty (default = 1 [off])
    • Deposit_Multiplier defaults to 5 to give you long enough before you need to upgrade (can be set from 1-50).
    • Overwrites BigHugeDeposits deposit sizes in favour of upgrades (can be adjusted by setting "OverrideBigHugeDeposits = false,")
    • For the Rockbreaker upgrade changes to work, BigHugeDeposits "DepositMultiplier" must be set to 700 or less.
    • This mod does not appear to work with MegaMines.
    • To use the DrugTrade Upgrades you need the DrugTrade mod installed.

    3. Unzip it to your Tropico 5\ folder. Keep the directory structure!
    4. You should add the following inside the Tropico 5\Mods\Configs\MainConfig.lua file (you can add it at the top after the comments section):

Kalypso In-Game Grocery Upgrade Error:
Spoiler:
In game, the upgrade called "Farmer Fair" has a description which says the following:
"Food Quality is increased by 20 but Budget is increased by 20%."

However, the actual LUA file sets an amount of 20 as a value and not as a percentage.

Hence, my fix is to change the BudgetMin and BudgetMax Percent variable from false to true, so it now calculates as a percentage.

If you do not have this error, then set "GameUpgradeFix = false,"

I originally wrote these mods (now combined into 1) sometime ago for my daughter (6 years old) so that it is a little easier in-game to please the environmentalists, keep rebels/armies at bay and more.

Unzip them to your Tropico 5\ folder. Keep the directory structure!

    Using translation table:
    Spoiler:
    Example:
    TT.NAME_SelfBuilt = "Self Built"
    TT.DESC_SelfBuilt = "Self Built Upgrade"
    TT.TEXT_SelfBuilt = "Workers always carry their own tools. <arg1> more workers employed. Budget increases by $<arg2>."

    The first line TT.NAME_SelfBuilt will always display the name of the upgrade, what you want to call it. You may change what is between the "" if you wish.
    The second line TT.DESC_SelfBuilt is the in-game description of the upgrade.
    The third line TT.TEXT is my default text used to displayed the in-game comments. You may change what is between the "" if you wish, remembering to leave the <arg1> and <arg2> variables somewhere in the new text.

OLD individual downloads
For Tropico 5 (updated to v1.06)


Notes:
    DO NOT download this if you have the BUILDING UPGRADES files installed (see post 1). This is an alternative download for users who do not want all the upgrades.
    • I will not be working on these files ever. Please do not ask me to make any changes to them.

Instructions:
    3. Unzip to any temporary/downloads directory.
    4. Pick out the individual zip file(s) that you want.
    5. Unzip individual ZIP file(s) to your Tropico 5\ folder. Keep the directory structure!

i replaced your individual mods w/ this modpack & now the upgrade for "Dock & Guard Tower" is gone after creating a new dock

I recently did a clean reinstall of Tropico and all the mods when you released this but after a while playing and a few new sandbox missions, I'm fairly certain there are a bunch of upgrades that are not showing up. For instance, the Palace only has the Personal Deathsquad upgrade and none of the custom upgrades that I can see looking at the config file. I also made sure everything in the config file is set to true. I'm currently using the following mods with Steam V1.6:

Big Huge Deposits
Building Tweaks
Cap Crusher
Dictatorship Unleashed
OtherBGone
ResourceManager
zDrug Trade
zPapi Upgrades
zPapi Upgrades Common
More Houses v1.1

Any ideas why some buildings don't show custom upgrades and others do? If you can provide a list by building of your upgrades, I'd happily see what is and isn't showing up - assuming that would help at all.

I love this mod, it has added countless hours of enjoyment to this game already. Thanks for this and all the other gems you've made and please keep up the great work!

Yes i am also getting alot of upgrades not showing up. Specifically so far the military upgrades are no where to be found. Any help would be greatly appreciated, i have only been apart of this forum for a day and i am allready having loads of fun with these mods. Thanks for the hard work.

If you download the "Configuration File" and set all the variables that are set to false, to true, that will fix it.

The ones not showing up will have a default of false.

When I started up a new game, new campaign, I found that this mod was blocking morehousing1.3 and bighugedepostis. These are the only two I could verify as "not functioning as intended." I used the compilation package in the first post for my mod. Not sure if the log will be useful, but, it does contain an lua error. I do not see it in the log information but I am running a 64-bit system.

Hmm...the first error should be overcome by adding:
    UserCurrency = "$"
to the MainConfig.lua. It would then look something like:

@PapiGamer Can You remove Self Built upgrade, because I do not think that it is very important. In game there is not an upgrade but there're enough workers. If I want to have less workers i can lock the free slots.

can somebody post old versions of papis mods? not 1.02 version available above..the even older 1.01 version...i had a few of those old mods and got them to work with with 1.08 update of tropico...the new ones dont work!

anybody?

I don't think there is any reason this mod wouldn't work with 1.08. Please be patient guys. This particular mod, when decompiled, is over 13000 lines. It adds a TON of upgrades. The part that just defines all the config variables is over 4500 lines.

There are two minor errors that can be worked around until Papigamer gets a chance to update it.

Place the following line in your mainconfig file:
UserCurrency = "$"

The other error that people are reporting is due to it attempting to add an upgrade to a building that does not exist in the base game. Install his Marble Mansion mod and the error should be resolved.

i dont know if it was the first thing or the second thing or both..but the mod works fine now..tks again darth...ur awesome :D

So does this mot only partially work with Tropico Complete Collection from steam??? I can get the upgrades for the Palace and Housing to show up but Plantation and Farming don't appear at all. My first thought was I had mods that conflicted with it so I removed every mod BUT Upgrades Mod, that didn't solve it. I tried using the Config mod and the upgrades still don't appear for plantations, did I just not install correctly or does the mod hate me, or is it that I have Windows 10 now?

Install Path for Upgrades: C:\Games\Tropico 5 - Complete Collection\Mods\zPapi_Upgrades.lua
