Cheater's Tower: New Dec 29, 2014

Cheater's Tower
Version 1.00
For Tropico 5 v1.08

Creates a new building called the Cheater's Tower. From this building you can:
  • Add Money
  • Add Swiss Money
  • Add Research Points
  • Complete Current Research
  • Spawn Disasters. Be careful with this. Disasters queue up and don't necessarily start instantly. Be patient or you'll end up with several in a row!
  • Spawn Invasions, Rebellions, and Coups (Same as the War Marker Tower in the Click For War Mod)

  1. Download and install Mod Loader 2.3. Follow the instructions!
  2. Download this mod.
  3. Unzip to your Tropico 5\ folder. Keep the directory structure!
  4. This mod has no configuration settings at this time.
  5. This mod has a translation table
    • English:
      CheatersTower - English.zip

Note: As a result of this mod I will no longer be supporting Click For War or Estyroth Park. The mods in multiplayer portion of the Estryoth Park mod is a part of Mod Loader 2.3. Both Estryoth Park and Click For War will not conflict with this mod so feel free to continue using them if you choose.

Hi :). All other mods that i have is working fine like " proving grounds and extreme shackle". But cant find the " tower" Where to put the CheatersTower.lua file :/

You can add Russia too to let them make an invasion as USA too except ussr only :) (big number of squads)

  1. Make sure you are using the most current version of Mod Loader
  2. Make sure you are placing the files in the correct location.
    • Tropico 5\Mods\CheatersTower.lua
    • Tropico 5\UI\BuildingsIcons\CheaterTower.tga
  3. Build the Tower
  4. Click on the Tower
  5. Click on the cheat

Oh I know the problem is... I play v1.00 tropico 5 instead v1.08, my bad :3 thank bro, nice mod!! :D
I want ask question, how to setting mod using mainconfig.lua? I tried to set big huge deposit to 2bil resources, but it doesnt work...

In the _const lua once decompiled you will see the following if viewed using notepad++, Maybe changing these would provide the results you want

Line 87: const.MigrationHappinessMaxDifference = 30
Line 88: const.MigrationMaxChangeFromHappiness = 75
Line 89: const.MigrationEmploymentMaxDifference = 15
Line 90: const.MigrationMaxChangeFromEmployment = 100
Line 91: const.MigrationRandomModification = 25
Line 94: const.StartingFactionStanding = 50
Line 137: const.MaxFactionDecayPercents = 10

Rather than alter the game lua file, you can try copying this:

OnMsg.ClassesPreprocess = function()
    const.MigrationHappinessMaxDifference = 30
    const.MigrationMaxChangeFromHappiness = 75
    const.MigrationEmploymentMaxDifference = 15
    const.MigrationMaxChangeFromEmployment = 100
    const.MigrationRandomModification = 25
    const.StartingFactionStanding = 50
    const.MaxFactionDecayPercents = 10

Just change the values to whatever you want and save as 'test.lua' then place in the CommonLua folder.

If it doesnt do as needed then you only need to delete the file unless Darthpresidente or someone else more knowledgeable can provide a better alternative

The above code was taken from another mod that changes a default constant value and works so it may just work
